Ivor McGurk
Ivor D. McGurk has practiced as counsel in the fields of civil litigation and insurance defence litigation since being called to the Bar. Before moving to Canada Mr. McGurk practiced as a civil litigation solicitor in London, Great Britain.
Mr. McGurk's practice in British Columbia and Alberta has included appearances in Provincial Court, the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta. Mr. McGurk has also represented clients in alternative forms of dispute resolution including mediations and settlement conferences. Additionally, Mr. McGurk’s insurance defence experience has included acting on behalf of insurers for subrogated actions as well as in relation to matters of insurance coverage.
Prior to joining Stevens Virgin Ivor McGurk worked at a local insurance boutique firm.
